Lifelong Washington County resident, retired PA state trooper, Peters Twp. police officer.

Lou Reda of North Strabane Twp. has announced his candidacy for Washington County Sheriff. After 26 years with the PA State Police, Lou served as Deputy Director of Public Safety at Washington & Jefferson College. Lou is now a police officer in Peters Twp. and a member of the DA’s Drug Task Force.

Lou says, “My life has been dedicated to public service and law enforcement in Washington County. I am running because I want our community to have a voice in government. I bring fresh ideas coupled with plenty of experience in serving the public, helping to find common ground on difficult issues, and collaborating with businesses and community leaders.”
