Featured Candidate: Debbie Bardella for Washington County Recorder of Deeds

Debbie Bardella is seeking re-election as Washington County Recorder of Deeds. Having served 23 years Debbie’s extensive knowledge and experience assure the people of Washington County that the Recorder’s office will remain efficient and professional without disruption.

Debbie is most proud of establishing an instant recording system. Now, documents are recorded within minutes and are returned immediately back to the submitter. Washington County was the first Recorder’s office in PA to have all documents from 1781 to the present scanned and available in the office and on the Web.

Being fiscally responsible, all of Debbie’s audits have been clean and without findings. Debbie has kept the Recorder of Deeds office below the annual budget every year. The Recorder’s office collects more than $26,000,000 in revenue each year.

Debbie has also served as Director of Tax Revenue since 2005 by appointment of the County Commissioners. She does not receive an additional salary or benefits for this position and has saved taxpayers over $1,000,000 during her service.
