Recognizing the needs of the community has become a major part of every DART meeting. The Burgettstown Area Food Pantry serves the community at large in the Burgettstown and Avella School Districts.

Prior to the pandemic, DART members brought food donations to each monthly meeting. This food was delivered to the Pantry to be disbursed to those in need. Several DART members also volunteered at the Pantry to package the staples. During the pandemic, DART members organized two drives for food and monetary donations in support of the communities served.
